editor Gina Leibrecht says its a dream come true to work on a film about
the wild and mysterious Sierra bighorn sheep. But its the story of Jeff
and Vicki Davis that stands our for her. "I love the footage of
Jeff and Vicki when they're out there, in incredible scenery, tracking
lions on their mules. It looks like a painting."
Before joining Green TV to edit Counting Sheep, Gina collaborated with the acclaimed documentary filmmaker, Les Blank, on several projects. They include White Feathers, Black Bones, a film about an eccentric American tear importer. She recently edited Native Glory under Blanks's direction, a film about art collector Rene di Rosa and his vast collection of Northern California art. She is also working with Blank on a film about the life of Richard Leacock (with Gina in photo), the co-founder of direct cinema. |
